PROJECT BRIEF

Superfast West Yorkshire and York required a video to promote the Big Build Project, which would showcase the impact of superfast and ultrafast broadband in Yorkshire areas for homeowners and businesses. The video needed to highlight the technologies deployed and how the project that is currently in phase 2 has helped businesses grow.

THE CHALLENGE

After meetings with the SFWY team it was clear that the video would benefit from having a mix of both live video and animation. The video would need a voice over, to convey the many statistics that had to be included. It would also need to feature bespoke characters throughout the animation and adhere to all branding and colour schemes.

THE SOLUTION

We decided to focus on the areas in Yorkshire and York that had already benefited from super and ultrafast broadband and film live footage in these locations. We then designed characters, backgrounds and a city landscape on which to create the super/ultrafast broadband world. We worked up these storyboard designs into a digital animatic and provided the client with various ideas of combining the live footage with animation. The final video will be used on the clients website and on social media.
