PROJECT BRIEF

As part of a series of promotional videos for Superfast South Yorkshire, we were asked to create an animation exploring the benefits of connecting to high-speed fibre broadband for businesses and homeowners.

THE CHALLENGE

The animation needed to show how slow broadband can affect the sending and receiving of large files and processing data and how much quicker this process could be with superfast and ultrafast fibre cable. It needed to be character based and the SFSY brand and colour scheme had to be used throughout the animation.

THE SOLUTION

We wanted to reflect how easy it is for the home or business owner to get connected and upgrade to super and ultra fast broadband speeds by showing a speedy installation. We also felt that by showing a representation of the SFSY website it would help viewers to navigate around the site more easily. The characters were designed using the brand SFSY colours and reflect the frustrations of slow broadband and the benefits that faster broadband brings. The script was written to highlight the statistics of the number of cabinets installed.
